Do I need to schedule an appointment for my rideshare inspection?
No appointment is necessary. All inspections are conducted virtually through your smartphone. Simply register your account with Tinker DIY, then initiate a video call with a certified expert at your convenience to complete the rideshare inspection.

How long does the inspection take?
Each inspection takes about 15–20 minutes and is performed by a Tinker ASE-certified expert for a fast, professional, and thorough review.

Is this a video inspection?
Yes! Tinker connects you one-on-one with a certified mechanic via secure video chat to complete your Uber, Lyft, or Turo 19–22-point vehicle inspection anytime, anywhere.

How do I receive my completed inspection form to submit to Uber, Lyft, or Turo?
You will receive the completed inspection form via email. You must upload the form to your driver profile yourself and submit the form directly to Uber, Lyft or Turo.

Will I receive a printed copy of the inspection form?
No, Tinker does not provide printed copies of the inspection report. You’ll receive a digital inspection report by email shortly after your inspection is complete. Easy to save and upload as needed, and available for your records.

What should I do if I haven’t received my inspection form?
If your inspection form hasn’t arrived within 1-hour after completing your session, don’t wait!

What if my car doesn’t pass the inspection?
Every Tinker plan includes up to three inspection attempts. If your vehicle still doesn’t pass, you may schedule another inspection for an additional fee.

How often do I need an inspection?
To remain compliant with Uber, Lyft, and Turo requirements, a vehicle inspection must be completed annually or every 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Additionally, any time you add a new vehicle to your driver profile, a new inspection is required. We recommend scheduling your inspections promptly to ensure uninterrupted driving privileges.

Does the vehicle need to be registered in my name?
No, however, you must be listed on the insurance policy.
